A letter to the Ennis Electric family:

We’re heartbroken to share the news of the passing of one of our most loved partners, Terry Crouse. Terry was our main point of contact for high voltage work at Kelly Electric.

While we’ve occasionally competed with Kelly Electric in the past, we often collaborate with the Kelly Electric team on work we don’t complete in house. While we knew Terry through that partnership, that work isn’t the main thing we remember about him; we remember him as the man who loved nothing more than cheering on his children at their sports events. We reminisce about how he was a truly good man. He was a talented electrician who was active in his community, and never hesitated to give a lending hand to those who could use his help.

Terry was an Air Force veteran who chose electrical contracting as a career once he left the military. He was shot three times earlier this week in his backyard. Police are still investigating.

We’re sending our thoughts and prayers to Terry’s wife JoAnn, his children, Logan, Lucas, Caitlin, Colleen, Carly and Caroline, and to the Kelly Electric family.

Loved ones will celebrate Terry’s life from 6 to 8 p.m. on January 6 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to College America, c/o Kelly Financial Advisors or Herkimer County Hunger Coalition in Terry’s name.
