Naval Sea Systems Command: Indian Head Decentralized Steam Distribution

Project Overview

The Indian Head Decentralized Steam Distribution project consisted of the design and construction of a base-wide decentralized steam distribution system. The system utilized two primary nodal steam generation plants to support critical energetics operations. Natural gas, which is cleaner and more efficient to manage than coal, served as the new primary fuel source for the nodal steam plants.
